I guess most of you saw the post on Fridge or the post on the Community team mailing list: Nominations for the Community Council are still open until Friday, 16th October. We already received a number of good nominations so far, but I thought it’d be good to try to convince a few more of you to nominate yourself or nominate a friend of yours. If flavours and other important teams would get some more representation on the CC, that’d be great....

What does being an Ubuntu member mean to you? Why did you do it back then? I became an Ubuntu member about 10 years ago. It was part of the process of becoming member of the MOTU team. Before you could apply for upload rights, you had to be an Ubuntu member though. That wasn’t all of it though. For me it wasn’t the @ubuntu.com mail address or “fulfilling the requirements for upload rights”....
